Van Gogh. Masterpieces from the Kröller Müller Museum, from February 22, 2024 – Palazzo Revoltella, Trieste

Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890), we know it, is one of the most famous artists in the world, but in the course of his existence he enjoyed little fame. Only in the future, his art would become a worldwide success. The art pedagogue H.P. Bremmer had heard of Van Gogh and regarded him as one of the “great geniuses of modern art”.

He then advised Helene Kröller-Müller to purchase his works between 1908 and 1929 and create a collection of extraordinary artist’s works, making a significant contribution to their appreciation. Over 50 works from the prestigious Kröller-Müller Museum of Otterlo, which houses one of the greatest heritages of the artist’s works, around 90.
